60 hp merc. fuel starving problem

i have a 86 merc 60 hp 3 cyl. engine that when you hit the throttle from idle to any speed the engine starts missing and bogging down if i hit the automatic chake a couple of times when this happens it catchs and runs fine , this happens all the time , any suggestions ? it has two carbs , i have replaced the plugs and the fuel filter , cleaned ther carbs and run 97 octain..

Do a link and sync and see if that fixes your problem. It sounds like your timing is off. Your manual will have the procedure for this.

After rereading your post I think that you might also have a fuel problem so you might want to consider checking your fuel lines and carbs. Especially your filters and jets.
