60 HP Merc - Trim pump locked up

The motor is all the way in the down position.

I had a generic manual and it guided me to try to move the motor manually. I backed the screw out but still the motor is locked into position.

The trim motor sounds strong..I added extra fluid..

However the trim motor does not move the motor.

Any suggestions/thoughts would be appreciated...

their should be a little fitting by the ram to bleed the air out the lines.

upon further review seems to be the ram itself is shot..I can manually lift the motor and the ram doesnt hold from collapsing..prob the ram is shot?

I have a 60 HP Merc that won't trim up, where do I add or check the fluid level? Its on a 85 Bass Tracker. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

turns out it was a bad trim motor..had it replaced..works fine..

Mike you should be able to manually lift the motor..prop it up with a board..you should see the pump on the motor plate...there is a yellow cap..back it off and fill..

Can u hear the motor churn when u hit ur trim switch? My motor would churn when hitting the switch..the shaft in the motor failed..
