Hi-
My neighbor has a 2003 60hp Bigfoot on a pontoon boat which until recently ran with 6 psi water pressure at idle and 15 psi at cruise (4600 - 4800 rpm). Recently, the gauge started indicating 10 psi at idle and 4 - 7 psi at cruise with no alarms being triggered. The impeller, gauge and gauge pressure line have all been replaced with no effect. The boat is used in brackish and salt water and is always fresh water flushed. It is also kept on a lift. He has had several mechanics out to fix it, but to no avail.

Suggestions?

Is it overheating? If not, I wouldn't lose any sleep over the pressure.

Sounds like there's possibly some blockage somewhere or the poppet is bad.
