Re: 60hp carb problem

On my 1969 3cyl 55 hp Johnson a very experienced retired boat mechanic with a very well equipped home shop charged $40 per carburetor plus cost for the kits. Kits (w/o floats) cost $17 each. He did it in an afternoon with me sitting there with him. It would have taken me at least an 8-hour day and I don't think I would have been able to deal with some of the issues that came up during the process. He also linked & synced them, adjusted the cables and test ran the motor for me. Best money I could have spent. And I've rebuilt several automotive carburetors over the years. He also quoted me $45 per carb plus kits for my 1973 135hp Johnson. GL.

John
