60hp johnson headaches!!

i have an 84 johnson 60hp outboard and it (while running!)was kicked into reverse by mistake now i have no power at the prop wont spin any which way can anyone tell me what the heck im looking for before i take it to the marina?Any help would be much appreciated thanks.

What do you mean while it was running was kicked into reverse? Do you mean that you were running full power forward and kicked it into reverse? If that is the case there is a good possibility that you trashed the gears and clutch dog.

yep thats what happened while it was idling down
