'61 Johnson 40hp ... carb missing parts???

After looking at several parts diagrams, my carb seems to be in missing parts, like the high speed adjustment in particular. Is it indeed missing parts, do I have an anomaly, or has a previous owner messed with it? Have a quick look at the attached photos to understand my confusion.

Nope, no missing parts. The high speed on that carb is a fixed orfice in the bottom of the carb bowl. Either you have incorrect diagram, or PO changed carbs.

Oh I'm sure it will be once I get it all back together, which'll probably be in a week or two.
