I have a vintage 1961 Johnson 75 horsepower super seahorse outboard motor. The wiring harness is in bad condition. It has been spliced into many times by a previous owner. Any idea where I could get one fabricated or repaired?

I would probably make my own. your looking at $60 worth of wire and terminals to do it yourself vs paying about $400 for a custom fabricated harness from a wire shop.

That sounds doable. My only concern is the shape of the harness where it plugs into the motor. It is made of a hard rubber and all of the previous splices into the harness were may just about an inch from that end. I have a fair amount of electrical experience and am game for just about anything. Could i make a silicone mold of the old plug and encase new wires inside a new plug?Anything easier? Im open for any ideas. Thanks for your input.
