I'm looking for a mate for my RDS 26S, I found a RDS 26R, what the difference between the R & S<br /><br />Thanks

S stands for Super, as in Super Sea Horse ... Electric Starting and sometimes charging circuits make her a Super version<br /><br />You like the idea of two of them on the back too, eh? Me too, they are a classically handsome outboard and quite the little gem of a motor<br /><br />Once you get them to run that is, lol, but once figured out, a light tug on the pull cord and it fires right up<br /><br />Watch for my posts, Ill be putting up pics in the very near future

Thanks,<br />I've got twin 58 Evinrude Lark 35's on an 18ft and I want to get another Johnson 40 for my 20 fishing boat.<br />I really do love these older motor, easy to work on and seem to last.

and plenty of parts motors lurking about, lol<br /><br />I dunno, call me old fashioned, but those power packs are just junk, give me points and condenser ignition any day<br /><br />how fast does the 40 push that 20 along?<br /><br /> :D

Pushes it ok if you're not in a hurry, but this boat I plan to take offshore so I want some power.<br /><br />Good thing about these old motors if something goes wrong they just run bad, the newer ones are dead in the water if something happens.
