Hi everyone I'm looking to replace my lower unit as my existing one busted apart forgot to winterize guess I had quite a bit of water in the gear case froze and u know the rest :(

I'm looking to find a replacement LU but don't know what I can use except to look for a 64 85hp LU.
What kinda options do I have? So I can have a broader idea on my search for a replacement LU I'm in Ontario ,Canada and I having a hard time finding swappable parts beside the obvious or if anyone has one for sale I'm willing to travel 4 hrs away from Toronto if there shopping around to keep the wifey occupied :p

Serial # of your motor ?-----Long or short shaft ?

there is a guy in port perry that can probably help.he sells motors on kijiji all the time .his name is ted.

Wondering does it really cost $500 to pay someone to install 2oil seals??

I know of some dealers that have a rate of $120 / hr.----So it does not take long to get to $500 if any problems are encountered with corroded housing etc , etc.---------Shop around to get your work done.

Would a 1976 150hp lower unit bolt up ?? Any input please !!!
