Ok well my johnson disapeared off my boat this weekend while i was gone and now im stuck with this old sea king with no fire, i have read the other posts and found a few places to buy coils, condensers, and points, so my question is where do i start i determining the fault of my problem? So far i have determined that i have no fire on either cylinder, ( 64 sea king 5hp vwb-19072 chrysler made). Removed the fly wheel cleaned the points and was able to determine that i had continuity on the points even when open dont know if this matters just poking around with my meter. How do i properly test this system to determine my problem??

i miss my johnson, just goes to show you locks are only for honest people
