65 Johnson Deluxe stern drive re install

I hope this is the right area for this, but I recently acquired what I believe is a 65 Johnson Deluxe. I plan on restoring it, I have not tore into it to see how much I have to repair as far as stingers and such, there are a few places on the keels I have to patch. But the previous owner, my grandfather, replaced the inboard with an outboard, and I was wondering how hard it would be to put another inboard engine in it, preferably a stern drive, and how much it might cost, and what engine and drive do you suggest? I plan on ripping up the floor to see if the stringers need replaced and I plan on replacing the foam, It has sat uncovered in the weather for at least 10 years so I am planning on the worse. And I know that it probably is not worth the time or money to restore, but it has sentimental value to me...
