65# MinnKota RipTide Installation questions

I want to install a 65# MinnKota RipTide on my 1990 RedFin center console.<br /><br />The problem is, i looked under my deck, and saw that there is a wall underneath the deck, and i can't reach underneath to tighten the bolts. <br />I guess my only option is to cut through this wall, unless any one has more suggestios...<br /><br />thanx

Does the deck where you are mounting it have a build up and you can use just regular screws, say like 3" #14 or so? My boat has a wood buildup just for this...if not and you dont want to cut that open, see about having a piece of wood fiberglassed in and gel coated. May be a little expensive but I dont like drilling holes in something that doesn't all ready have holes in it!

it does actually have a spot that you can tell the trolling motor would go here...also has the wires pre-rigged.
