Ok so I got the peice that broke on my engine fixed and now i'm trying to get the carb right. When I give it the full gas it seems to sputter and carry on until i close the choke flap. When i do that it takes off like a rocket for a while then it starts sputtering again then i have to wait a while before it will respond the same way. I'm assuming my adjustments are all out of whack. I have a seloc manual for it somewhere but i cant find it for the life of me. I know there is a high speed screw behind the drain screw for the bowl. Where should i set all my adjustment screws?

Correction. Its not an adjustment screw behind the float drain screw. Its more like a jet. I'm at a loss gentlemen.

Did you clean and rebuild the carb?

Well i did totally disassemble it but didnt put a carb kit in it because every single seal looks flawless. Even the needle valve for the float mechanism. I think its been rebuilt before because it looks too good to have 43 year old seals in it
