I just bought this little motor, replaced the pull cord and it wont start.. i concluded it wasnt getting fuel.
so far ive cleaned the carburetor out real good(there was sand in the bottom of the bowl),
and replaced the plugs.
right now ive got the fuel pump bypassed because im not completely sure its working, and i cant find a new one.
but since doing my repairs it acts like it really wants to start, but it doesnt quite have air or fuel maybe. theres only one screw i can see that looks like can be adjusted, and im not sure if its a mixture screw or air adjustment.
where can i start on getting this thing started? I really feel like its all in the carburetor but should i be lookin somewhere else? compression is ~30 lbs in both cylinders.

1. If 30 psi is correct on the compression, you might have found your problem vs fuel.
2. I feel the compression should be close to 100 at least. At 30 there would be no resistance??
3. Have you manually primed the eng with 50:1 pre mix from a pump bottle?
4. Any history, most of all has the engine run at the present compression recently?

Like Wick says 30#WAY low.
What kind of guage?Screw in or push in?
How many times did you pull the rope?
Remove both plugs while doing it?
Test for spark??
The screw top front?Probably the air screw.Turn out 1 and 1/4 turns for base setting.
Pics of the carb?
