I recently inherited a '68 Merc 650 as part of a boat/motor/trailer deal that was too good to pass up. I pulled the lower unit yesterday to give it a once-over, and discovered that it's missing everything but the prop shaft and a few gears. No water pump, no drive shafts, no nothing.<br /><br />So, I'm looking for a cheap, used lower unit that will bolt on to the '68 Merc 650. Anyone know of a good source of Mercury interchange information? I've seen a number of servicable (supposedly) units in my price range on E-Bay, but the chances of finding my model and year are slim.<br /><br />Any ideas? I was hoping to get the boat in the water this year.
