69 Evinrude Lightwin starter

I have a 69 Evinrude Lightwin 4 hp folding outboard.<br />It has no starter.<br />My parts manual calls for # 384030.<br />Does anyone know if that number is superceded?<br />what other years and models may have same part?<br />and/or availability.

Hi Tom<br />Yes this # supercedes several times. Here they are, use 388187,use 389162, use 391007, use 392620, use 393617. Sorry my books are getting some what dated (1993). I hope your seeking a used assembly, possably needing minor repair. I'am not sure exactly how long OMC used this starter, (maybe they still do). My guess is that it will be easier and less expencive to locate a donor motor. I would think you could buy two for the price of this starter assembly brand new. I am sure that new parts for for this can be ordered and are available.
