69 inches and still snowing

[one more cast]

The town of Parish NY (about an hour south west of me) has got a whopping 69" of snow in the last three days...thats 5 feet 9 inches. and it is calling for another day of lake effect. I'm glad most of it missed my town.

Boy oh boy, I sure do miss the sight of dirt, brown or green grass, my driveway, and other things that was laying on the ground before the snow fell. Haven't seen the ground since early December. Is it still there? <br /><br />A little snow or alot, it still is cold and old. Get on with spring now already!

One good thing about the snow, hides the dog crap in the yard that the kids haven't picked up in a couple months <br /><br />I have family in West Monroe, they usually get popped with those amounts also.

Sure glad we don't get lake effect snow. I enjoy the ocasional 2 foot but wow thats nuts!!

Basically the air picks up moisture as it crosses the great lakes and then drops it when it hits land. Usually triggered by temp or altitudes but it can cause some tremendous snow.

wind direction has now changed and it's dumping<br />all over me! 3 feet or more maybe <br />just blew about 8" outa the drive. expect to do<br />it again in a few hours... we ain't supposed to<br />get this crud here? startin to look like watertown<br />round here.LOL<br />at least the lakes and streams will be well fed<br />come spring, if that ever comes...

It just so happens,that I run a snowplow for the town of Brighton.To me it is pennies from heaven.

I'm near Watertown......<br /><br />Boy Do I LOVE a Northwest Wind in the Winter.....<br />We've gotten Maybe 6/8" out of this Blow.....<br />And, All that was blown over to the driveway Nextdoor.......
