6hp 1974 fisherman ( not used for 12 months)

hello all, i have not used my 6hp fisherman since last year, it has been in the garage, covered up. last time i took it out it ran great,(thanks to you guys.) is there any basic checks i should do before taking it out on the river. i have some old fuel in the tank from last year as well. any tips ?

Hello Gustav.<br />It will probably start right up, but to be on the safe side, you should dump the old fuel in your lawnmower or car. Also add some carburator cleaner to your fresh fuel. Check your lower unit and make sure there is no water and it has all the oil it needs in there.Then you should be ready to go off on a voyage.
