I took the carb to the shop today and the mechanic spent 20 min on it and it still flooded after a new carb kit.He handed me some wrenches and pointed me to the bone yard.I found the carb I needed and he put the new needle and seat it in .It worked great but he pointed out a fuel port that was nearly clogged up and to clean this carb up.He gave me the old carb and new kit.He said you have made a quest out of this I agreed.I got home I started soaking and cleaning and blowing.I started to poke the clogged port out but noticed it had a tiny orfice there. The hole for this orfice is maybe 1/16 in dia. that the orfice fits in.The brass orfice looked like rust nearly closing the port. Its so small you would think the hole itself was the port.Mine did not have the orfice in it and I was none the wiser.Someone had already cleaned it out. This little orface is located on the top half of the carb going into the slow speed needle. It is as small as a needle point, but caues great flooding problems. So if you clean one of these, look very close because the brass fitting looks like rust closing the port.I want to thank everyone for their help on this quest.
