Took my 79 6hp rude out this past saturday. Ran like a champ for the first 1/2 hour. After that it started running very rough and missing. I headed back to the ramp, and it progessively got worse. By the time I reached the ramp, the boat was barely limping along. Thinking I had a fuel problem, I hook it up to the flusher, but I cannot duplicate the problem. The plugs and fuel line were replaced this past spring. The plugs were pretty gunked up today; however, so I cleaned them. But, like I said, I can't duplicate it in the backyard, so I will not know if that helped until I am on the water. I always run Pennsoil fuel stabilizer in every tank, so I don't think the fuel is sour.
Anybody have any ideas why this motor is running so badly while on the water, yet not on the flusher.
Also, noticed when inspecting it that there is a small amount of fuel coming from the flapper port on the carb. Cannot remember if this is normal.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I think it could be the spark plugs. witch would leed to the fuel? I never had this happen (my motors either blow them selfs up or fall off) run some clean gas, and oil and some new plugs :)
