6hp evinrude lower unit

finally got my 6hp to turn over and run.. but it seemed to be over heating.. so i was going to check the impeller and water pump in the lower unit.. i got one bolt out.. but the other three boltss, the heads broke.. YIKES!!! after all the work i put into getting this thing started, this crap happens.. with the plane just a few inches away from the bolt holes i dont know how im going to attempt to drill them out.. im desprit for help on this one.. suggestions? its a 6802-c model

Go ahead and see if you can wiggle the lower unit off of the broken bolts, may need to use a little heat, that way you will have some of the bolt to grip onto to help you get them out. Remember that you will have to rotate the drive shaft to align the roll pin that goes against the seal to get the lower unit off, just put the lower unit in gear and rotate the prop to turn the driveshaft.

so i have to rotate the prop and try to wiggle the lower unit off at the same time?

No, the lower unit will drop down about an inch or so before the roll pin will have to be lined up, that should give you enough room to get to power blaster or some other lube to break the corrosion loose on the broken bolts to drop the lower unit completely down while rotating the prop and aligning the roll pin.
