6hp seahorse -75 doesnt run

A friend of mine has a 6hp seahorse from -75.
It's hard to start and when it finally starts, it revs up and then slows down and dies. It?s just like it doesn't gets any fuel.
She changed the fuel pump and after that the engine started and ran perfectly, but after she had fueled it she had the same problem again.
again.

Any ideas for her?

suggest a carb cleaning and rebuild. simple to do on that motor. like a lawn mower.

Agreed. And pay special attention to the high speed orfice plug in the bottom of the carb float bowl.
