why is it that my 94 superduty leaks out oil at the combo oil line/waterline that goes from the front driverside of the block back to the oil filter?????

the leaking point seems to be were it bolts to the front of the block, right were the gasket is, BUT

This only happens when it gets cold, leaks/blows out half quart then stops.

Is there an issue with the desighn, or is the preasure from the oil pump and the cold just effect that point.

thx

The gasket is most likely bad, but only to the point that it cant hold the extra pressure when the oil is cold.
Do you have a block heater that heats the oil and coolant or just the coolant?
Replacing that gasket is probably in order.

Its quit possible the oil cooler needs to be replaced.

Ayuh,... Actually, it's just the O-rings that need changing....
I had to do mine at about 125,000 miles...
It ain't that bad of a job,...
I did it during a regular oil change,...
Taking the inner fender liner off helps greatly with access, 'n visibility...

Rob there are a couple of TSB's on the web site I sent you. One was leaking air causing high pressure other was pickup tube O-ring problems. Look and see if they are compatable problems with yours. But then you know I know nothing about a diesel.:)

Hit a record high yesterday 82 Mid 70"s today:) will be in the 20"s :confused:Thursday Man talk about Temp changes got my sinus passages screwed. Went to the woods to hunt last weekend and the bugs that bite weren't too bad. Jumped one going in jumped one coming out all I saw on the stand was Squirellssss. That happened two days in a row. Wife is in Va. at the son's before he ships out in Dec. This will be the First Thanksgiving I've had to myself since I was single living in Tampa Fl. 40 years ago. Had invites to go to Texas, Fl., and ,Va. but none to Canada yet. Naww: me and the old dog (Bud) will just hang out here in the south and do our thang:D. Looked at the pics of the man cave and saw all the exercise equipment in the basement:) All mine have pants and shirts hanging across them. Whats up with that.

OK Bobby, first off-
Canadian Thanks Giving was on the 11 of October this year, and all invites went out, were the He!! were you????? :D

(you should see the leftover turkey, freezers full, good thing we are having ham for christmas this year.)

Second, that exercise equipment was, well lets just say inherited due to some one cleaning out thier basement.

20f = -6c +-, right now that almost sounds spring like. :)

So two deer EH, lots of sausages to be make up, MMMMMM. or you saw two but didn't get a shot off, two days in a row, thats a bummer???
