May I use a 1988 Thunderbolt ignition distributor used on 7,4 liter with hydraulic flat tappet cam, in a 7,4 liter gen VI with hydraulic roller camshaft?
My consern was compability between the gear and possible different metal in the flat tappet camshaft compared to the roller camshaft. This is a common issue with big and smalblock chevy. I dif not know if this is a issue for boat engines. Thanks for the reply.
