7.4 LX manifolds. Hose Change.

Hey Guys,

I have a nice low hour set of fresh water manifolds I am going to be installing in place of my Salt water, rusty manifolds. While I am in there, I am replacing with new gaskets of course, new thermostat..and I think I need new hoses. My hoses are crunchy..all of them.

Are these standard hoses? Gates? I looked on the Mercury Parts website and they are wanting $50 a hose! Can I get the universal hose in the same diameter? Does Crunchy hoses mean they are shot? I normally run about 170-180F.. Only had it shoot up once to 220F.. I think something blocked the intake holes on the B1.

Ayuh,... Most of 'em are Pre-formed hoses,...

Usin' plain ole straight hose, don't bend so well, 'n gets crimped, blockin' the flow....
