Hey all, boat is a 1996 SeaSport Explorer 2400. Has a 7.4GL with a Duoprop. New to me boat and ran fine for the first 2 days. Finished fishing for springs this morning, went to chase hali and 5 mins after being on step the boat overheated... bad to worse was that the temp guage was stuck at 140 until I hit the dash and it jumped to 240... fml
not sure if the engine is smoked yet, but want to make sure I have an engine lined up to go back in. Is there a way to tell what version of chevy 454 Volvo Penta and seasport used? 2 bolt or 4 bolt mains, 1 piece or two piece rear main seal, peanut port heads etc. Will the manifolds fit any of the 454 heads?
