7.5 hp propellor installation

I have an older model 75, 7.5 hp merc. I took the prop off (very difficult) and am now trying to put it back on. Is there a trick to getting the prop back on the rubber insert? - or is this even possible. I'm not familiar with this type of propellor mounting.<br /><br />Regards,<br />Geoff

Geof,<br /><br />Welcome to iBoats.<br /><br />If you have pulled the prop off the rubber bushing, you'll need to get the hub and bushing off the prop shaft and take them to a propeller specialist, or buy a new prop. Probably cheaper to buy a new prop.<br /><br />Now that you have the prop off, getting the hub off shouldn't be too much harder. I would cut as much of the rubber off and then heat it with a oxy torch.<br /><br />Good luck.<br /><br />Chris...........
