70 - 71, 7.5 hp electronics a challenge

I have a merc 200 7.5 hp that has no spark at both plugs. No spark from plug wires to ground as well. I have checked all connections with a meter and everything reads good. Points read good and I get reading when a magnet is passed by the coils. It should work but it doesn't. I still suspect the stator, and should it be the stator I would need to replace it. Can they be tested without taking them to a shop?

Yes. Disconnect Green and Salmon stator leads.
1 No continuity Positive lead to Green, Negative lead to Salmon
2 No continuity Positive lead to Green, Negative lead to Ground
3 No continuity Positive lead to Salmon,Negative lead to Ground
4 20K-50K ohms Positive lead to Salmon, Negative lead to Green
