It's a 20 ft Atlantic Weekender, with a 140 Evinrude, and when I start to get above 20 mph, she seems to lean hard, as if I was cutting the wheel. The hull is clean (at least to the eye), and motor doesn't seem to be off center or anything obvious like that.
Everyone I have asked seems baffled - any help would be appreciated!!!

I don't suppose you have a major weight distribution problem inside the boat from port to starboard? Does the leg of the motor enter the water at a 90 degree angle from left to right?

cdeitzel;

we need a bit more info. Leaning to port is typical of a torq list caused from the prop rotation. It can be more noticable when the prop is changed to one that is more agressive(ie:SS with a cup). It could also be exagerated by adding a Hydrofoil. It could be the steering tab.

Need more info, especially if the prior experiance was better. In other words when did this problem occur?

If you would like to call I would be happy to try and help. 800-233-0194 ask for John

I have a 24'SeaRay Merc 260 with the same port tilt when accelerating. I have a Stainless Prop and trim tabs and am forced to adjust trim as I am running to counter the tilt, it is pretty severe. My lower unit anode was broken when I purchased the boat. I replaced it and still no correction to the port tilt. My only thought is to leave my trim nose down on the port side to counter the torque. Alot of fussing around.

I had noticed one of the prop blades was bent pretty badly at the tip - I have no prior experience, as I have recently purchased, and have had the same issue each time...

I am having a machine shop repair on the prop (also purchasing new one) - and I am hoping that could be it... The bend isn't really6 all that noticable at initial glance, but when compared to the others, WOW...BIG difference
