70 horse evinrude wont shut off

I have a 1983 70 horse evinrude i have been working on today i started it up and i throttled it up so it was ideling pretty high i went to turn the key to shut it off and nothing happned it kept on running so i tried to push the throttle back next to the carbs with my finger and i got one heck of a shock when i touched metal! any ideas? where is the shut off wire from the red connector what color or do you know of a diagram?

black yellow, getting a shock, sounds like a short to me.

You may have a bad key switch.it should send ground to the blk/yel off the pack for kill.You can jump a ground to the blk/yel wire to kill.You might disconnect the main red harness.Jump eng and it will start.Then use a wire from ground to the blk/yel to be certain it kills.if that works no prob.i think you have a harness or switck prob. Has the connection at harness gotten wet. Could have corrosion issues at that point. Let us know.
