Hi,
I have a 77 70 hp johnson that has no power At wot the motor turns about 2k. All carbs were dismatled and soaked in carb cleaner with new kits installed. Engine fires on all 3 cylinders and idles great. I also tried pumping the primer bulb while the motor was running with no effect on performance. Thanks for the help, tom

Make sure when the throttle is at full power the butterflies in the carbs are perfectly horizontal. Then a proper link & sync is probably in order.

Agree with Walker. Check that your stator is advancing the ignition in synch with the throttle plates.

Good luck. :)

Another test. Remove the cover plate from the carbs. With the motor running, one by one, cover each carb throat and note whether you get any change in the motor's running. If one (or more) carbs being covered has no effect, then it's not running on that cylinder. If your hand comes off the carb covered in fuel, it's probably drawing fuel alright. If it comes off dry, you may have a fuel issue. If the carb is spitting fuel out on its own, then it may have a broken reed feeding that cylinder.

- Scott
