Hey guys, this is my first post, so Hi from down under. I have rebuilt my carbs over the weekend according to the OMC manual. The motor was running a little rough before the rebuild, but after I had assembled it and fired her up, the idle is very inconsistent, nearly stalls and the revs jump up and down. I had cut my own gaskets for the air silencer and the manifold to carbs. Have done the link and synch all the butterfly's are doing what they are supposed to etc.. It is definately an issue with fuel as electrical system is 100%, another question is what would happen if the floats were lower than the gasket mounting surface? Also will the engine run smoothly with the air silencer off? any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. Serge.

Thanks for the response mate, It was of great help, I read through all of your posts. One thing that confuses me is the low and high speed orifice, do they need adjustment or are they fixed? I screwed mine in all the way? cheers. Serge.
