Hi,

I've a problem with my Chrysler 70hp engine, this is what happens:

If I try to start without power pluggs the fly wheel turns around like crazy,
if I put the pluggs back in the flywheel doesn't make a full turn before it is release the flywheel...

So it seems like the starter enginge doesn't have enough power to make the flywheel turn with the pluggs in?

Anyone an idea what could be wrong?

Any suggestions more than welcome!

Cheers,

First disconect all battery, and starter cables, and clean well ( bright and shinny). Make sure battery is fully charged. Lube with light weight oil, the stater gear shaft. Also the plug wires should be grounded when plugs are out. Do a compression check on all holes.

Thanks for your advice, I've cleaned the cables and charged the battery, also oiled the shaft. Pluggs are fine, it just doen't do a full turn with the spark plugs in...

No clue how I could do a compression check...

any more ideas?
