70hp jpnhson parts id

I have a70hp jonhson o/b my problem is this first i do not know the year of the motor model #j70elcrd serail # j5946434. and second i have a little cyd. about 1 inch in daimeter and 3 inches long the pumps fuel into the carbs, with the key pushed up ineed to know the name of this part or part #. i think it is a choke soleniod or ele. choke?

It's a 1984. If you are referring to the cylinder attached to the carb with the rubber boot and rod sticking out of it, then it doesn't pump fuel -- it's the choke solenoid. Why do you need to know the part #? They're usually quite reliable and when they dont' work it's usually related to a wiring or connection problem.

Primer solenoid. Part # 582865. You can usually find them on Ebay..You have a 1984 model...

thanks for the info. and the the part #. it does pump fuel there are two lines to it one to the main fuel line the other to the the carbs it is supose to pump when you push in on the key , it works sometimes thanks again
