The ten pin plug and socket on the harness of my motor is corroded and not allowing it to shift.Where do I get new harness,or new socket-plug to rewire with.Had thought about splicing the wires and eliminating the plug, but would have to cut it apart to get motor off the boat, not so good.Any ideas from any of you outboard gurus??

Dave....I believe the plug and pins are still available from Bomby (Johnson/Evinrude Dealer). Check the condition of the wires to. The insulation tends to get brittle after a while.

Jim,thanks,I'll check at my dealer. The wires seem to be pliable enough.Maybe he would have a motor harness out in his parts shed.Might be easier than puting on a new plug.
