'71 Sea Ray

I need a steering cable for a '71 Sea Ray SRV-200.<br />I've e-mailed Teleflex 3 times with no response!!<br />The system is a rack system(single cable). The end that connects to outdrive is a bit different than newer models. Any ideas how to contact Teleflex? Phone #? E-mail? Thanks, Keninch

Nowadays, It's Easier,+ Almost Cheaper to replace the Whole Steering System........<br />It's Very Few Dollars more to replace the Whole thing, vs Just the cable......<br />West Marine sells a Teleflex Rack system with a 12' cable for $144.99...... JUST the Cable Alone is $130.99....<br />Replace to Whole Thing,+ Throw your Old one Away.....<br />

Just WHAT is Different....<br />You'll no doubt be better off to Update it....

Thanks Bondo, The end of cable looks to be adjustable, 3 vertical grooves cut in metal at end where it attaches to drive. Are cables and steering systems sold for specific boats or are they determined by style and length only? Thanks, Keninch

keninch,<br /><br />Steering heads and cables are pretty generic. They not typically boat specific.<br /><br />Are you sure the end (engine end) of tyour cable is not an add on piece?
