It has been a while since last posting and in that time I have replaced the ignition system with the CDI kit that included Switchbox, coil and distributor and trigger. Adding to that all the stuff I did before, there has been quite a bit of work done. My distributor still only travels about 1/4" with the cable or by hand. I can not get the throttle to open on the carbs with either the shift cable or the throttle cable. When I installed the new cables I put the control box in neutral and the shift on the motor as well and then adjusted the cable to shift properly into reverse and forward. That seems to work fine. The throttle cable has plenty of movement but only moves the distributor about 1/4" and does not move the throttle linkage on the carbs. This functioned the same way before the distributor replacement. I did manage to purchase a C-90-68647 Service Manual but I can't find anything on this. Any ideas would be appreciated.:)

I found the problem...it was a matter of the top grease fitting hitting the linkage and stopping it. I turned the fitting a bit and all is well.
