72 Evinrude 65HP Engine Cover Seal (Model 65272S)

I am reconditioning the motor cover for this engine. Motor cover seal is old brittle and cracked. I am unable to find a replacement seal in good condition.
Anyone know of a alternative type seal that could work for this purpose?
I know there are a million types of rubber seals so I figure someone has found something that would work for this purpose.
I located the original part number but it doesn't seem to cross reference to anything relevant
