Thinking about another vessel.

Found one, but don't really want to deal with the drivetrain.

Has anyone re-powered with a modern engine and drive ?

What are my options ?

What would fit ?

Would like it to fit under the existing motor cover.

That's a nice looking Holiday there!:)

Yah, if you don't want any major changes to the setup you'd be going for a 140 3.0

ROSCOE!!

I have been looking at the HL on ebay for years - apparently noone wants to drop 700 bucks on it.

The 1968 HL I bought had a totally smoked motor - I found a 90's 3.0 in nice shape for $375. The newer motor would not mate with the old MC1 drive without jumping through some hoops - see liqud limo. So I bought a Alpha 1 outdrive in perfect shape for $1200. Both came out of dead glassers and I paid alot for the outdrive because it was literally brand new.

Check my thread out out - my guess is you can get it done for $1500 - also LL for how to mate a new motor to an old outdrive. Alos I love the HL on ebay - it has alot of great details - horn/rails/dash....

has a 120 in it, but would definitely be looking to go with a 90's motor and drive.

And yes, it has been sitting for a while, some of the photos are from last winter, or older.

Thanks for the responses.
