'72 Johnson 25hp LU seal

I've seen in the kits a long piece of o-ring type material. Can I buy a o-ring and cut it to work as a seal?

What seal are you trying to replace?

Most shops have a roll of that stuff.--------Or yes if you get the right diameter / dimension o-ring you can cut it to make that seal.
