I'm pulling my old boat out of a deep sleep and need to get the old 2 stroke running again. When I put her away she was running just fine but it's been 3 years and I need to replace the fuel. I'm just wondering if a certain fuel and oil mix will burn a little bit better than others. Also wondering what sort of fuel additives (if any) would be a good idea to run through it for the first time to try and clear things up.

Also, if anyone has any tips on getting the old girl running smooth again they would be greatly appreciated! (I'm planning on replacing spark plug and cleaning the carb. etc...)

Thanks in advance!

i would change the impeller in the water pump and change the fluid in the lower unit before you take it out might also look over the fuel lines and check the primer bulb.

50:1 using a good TC-W3 oil. An application of combustion chamber cleaner wouldn't hurt as it reduces the chances of the rings sticking
