73 evinrude 65 hp no spark on cyl 2 new coil installed

hey there i have a 73 evinrude 65 hp 3 cyl
out on the lake the other day she sputtered and lost power i limped her in on reduced power/ after getting home i did the following
compression test
cyl 1 120
cyl 2 116
cyl 3 116

checked for spark and had no spark only on cyl 2
replaced with a new coil and still no spark
tested the new coild on a different cyl and it worked . wires coming from power pak look ok from what i can see befor they go through the wire cover.
im now lost .. is there a way to test the powerpak?
all connections look good no corrosion powerpack has a good clean gasket seal on the cover and shows no signs of water or moisture on the interior of the power pack

wife is drivin me crazy and im going nuts missing out on some good salmon fishin!

Go to cdielectronics.com for trouble shooting procedures. As a guess it could be a bad power pack or timer base. JMHO.

Go to the CDI electronics web site and look up your engine and use their troubleshooting guide to help you find your problem.
You can try swapping the wires from the power pack to the coils and see if the spark moves with the wire. It kind of sounds like you may need a power pack.
