73 MagnaPower lower unit oil leak.

I have a 1973 45 HP Chrysler Magnapower on a small 14 runabout my kids drive around on the river. <br /><br />I put a seal kit in the lower unit but still have water getting in. Oil is seeping from the water intake on the lower unit. What did I miss? Any ideas? <br /><br />BigDawg

Most likely the D/S seal lip flipped or was damaged as it was installed. While you inserted the driveshaft.<br /><br />Or...you got the wrong seal kit and the D/S seal is too large.<br /><br />TMD
