74 17ft proline questions

I have the opportunity to buy a 1974 17ft proline for 1000 dollars.. It has a merc 65 hp that seems to run and start and run smooth with no problems.. great boat for 1000 dollars.. But i have a couple questions..

Im trying to find out how much this boat weighs.. I got an estimate 1100 around 1100 pounds, but i need to Im exactly... Im looking to pull this boat 2003 windstar 2003 windstar w towing package and want to make dont i dont' wifes my wifes wouldnt.. she wouldn't be happy lol that.. lol.. I want to know that the van can pull the boat and haul it out of the dont.. I dont' want to be stuck on the bottom of the boat ramp... So any help with this would be thanx appreciated.. thanx in advanced..

Also im curious as to what you all think of the price of the boat and if it's worth it.. just an opinion, cause i know you haven't actually seen the boat.. is that a fair price

The NADA website will answer both questions. They will give you the manufactured weight. Add-ons of course will add weight, as will wet foam. The best true-tell of the weight of the boat is to go to a scale, weigh your vehicle both with the boat attached and without. That'll give you exactly what you are looking for.
