i checked my solenoid with a test light and it was lighting everywhere with the exception of the cable going to the starter and i get a clicking sound when i turn the key over! could someone tell me if the solenoid is wired wrong or is it a bad solenoid(purchased in july this year). i also need help locating a wiring diagram for this problem

Sounds like bad connection(s). Double check every connection: battery, switch, soleniod, starter. All must be clean, shiny, metal-to-metal contact. And check the battery voltage.

Sorry, I don't have the diagram.

Usually if you have good voltage into the solenoid and it just clicks and no voltage out, you have a bad solenoid.
