sorry, here is the problem. the engine runs fine at WOT, runs fine at idle and on the troll. however you must use the choke it every time to start it. If it is running, shut it off, hit the key it restarts. shut it off, waite 1 minute, hit the key and it wont start until you choke it. could this be fuel prump/diaphram?

Hi ya' TinCan...<br /><br />A couple questions...When was the last time the carbs have been overhauled? Look at the float bowl gasket and see if it's black or a reddish brown. Black means ya' still got the original gasket. Reddish brown means they have been overhauled.<br /><br />Do your carbs have fixed idle jets or low speed needles? If needles, they may just need a bit of "tweaking" to solve your problem.<br /><br />Also your "sync and link" may need a little adjustment. If ya' don't have a manual, do get one if yer into fixin' it yerself. OEM service manuals will guide you on the above.
