Re: 74 - 76 Chrysler 60 no spark
Swecond question: No the engines are completely different. The 60 was a completely redesigned engine with a beautiful block and a lower unit that mimicked the design of the 75-150 Chryslers. Everything mechanical on these engines is different from any other Force or Chrysler. Once you do get it running, you will find that it is a VERY torquey engine with gobs of low end power. Its only weak point is undersized gears in the lower unit. Do not underprop it as the torque developed will strip out the forward gear teeth if you do a "hole shot."
The two cylinder Stator only used one winding whereas the three and four cylinders used two. The stator only charges the CD boxes and in a separate circuit the battery. There is no "timing" so to speak. If you can not find a two cylinder stator from a later Force engine, use a three or four and only use one leg.
