I am rebuilding the 9.9 and doing some pre-trip maintenance on the 15, I noticed that the fuel hose from the plug to the pump inside the motor housing was in real bad shape , cracked and brittle. went down to the local auto parts store ( marine store is closed on sunday) they at the store suggested that instead of the heavy rubber ( Uniroyal ,now Gates) hoses that I use this clear Urethane hose, I like the idea being able to see that there is fuel getting to the pump , but a bit sceptical about the hose's durability if not safety in the confined heat space . Should i pick up regular rubber-ish or is the clear stuff ok ?
