`74 engine in a `86 Alpha drive

I'm starting to put together my engine and drive package and I'm running into a small problem. The 140hp engine from the `86 rig needs a bunch of small things done to it, like front and rear seals, new manifold, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket. However, my `74 140hp engine is in great shape, I would like to use it with the alpha parts from the `86, namly, the manifold, flywheel housing, and flywheel. The only problem I see is the `86 manifold has 5 bolts/studs, and the `74 had 6. I need to get a new manifold anyway, is there a reason why that manifold won't work on the `74 engine? I'm sure the flywheel, coupler, and housing will work just fine.
Thanks!

If the old 74' engine has an aluminum pie plate thing that that carb mounts to then no the manifolds are not interchangeble. If the carb mounts directly to the cast iron logs on both engines, then you could swap everything over.

No pie plate, I removed the manifolds on both engines and found the ports the same. Will confirm other parts this weekend, shouldn't be a problem.
