74 Evinrude Starflite 85HP Water Splashing Issue

Have a question. My Evinrude Starflite splashes some water straight up from the prop to the engine cover. I moved the trim tab/anode plate when I found it off to the side (moved it to the middle) and then found it should should be slightly off from center to counter the torque. That's what started this - when I moved the tab. I moved it back and the issue is still there. Any ideas?

You don't have the tab forward of the center bolt holding the plate in place, do you?
